The San Carlos Reservoir (and Coolidge Dam) to the NW of you ended that. In recent years the reservoir has been close to dry due to years of sustained drought. Thought I'd also note: If you plan to stay on the reservation at all, like a camp site / park, the tribe has permits required for most anything (camping, fishing, etc.). Usually available at convenience stores. And, also, if you plan a day off anywhere near Globe, a side trip up by car to the Salt River Canyon Bridge (a.k.a.
