I take it you spend a lot of time researching all these towns on the internet. I appreciate the history and social studies lessons you provide. Also enjoy your descriptions of various churches and courthouses. Continue to be safe. MLG

P.S. Had to call my brother to find out Disaffected's identity. So "Hi" back to you Ted. Am currently in FL about 15 miles from Squeaks (and a lot less than that from Pete's grandkid who lives in Clearwater, per an earlier posting)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4139180752791601793.post-28905356796938421632010-02-18T20:26:13.191-05:002010-02-18T20:26:13.191-05:00Anguish: There's a time and a place for anony...Anguish: There's a time and a place for anonymity, and this is neither. Great to be in touch again after all these years. What a blast from the past. How's your older brother? Where are you now? Retiring soon? I forget if my email address is on the blog or not, but if it isn't, get Squeaks to give it to you and drop me a line.Peter Teeuwissenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09036559818566294926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4139180752791601793.post-88631868060259033582010-02-18T14:18:49.059-05:002010-02-18T14:18:49.059-05:00Pete,

We were in the bar watching some local rock band. Oddly, I can't seem to remember the name of that (the only) bowling alley. Killed too many brain cells, I suppose. I grew up in 48020, a year behind you in school. I used to hang out with your former neighbor - you know, the tall skinny guy with the Beatle haircut (hello Mr Squeaks, Michael, Randy, MLG and I'm sorry if I omitted anyone).

I've been toying for quite a while with the notion of touring the countryside on my motorcycle when I finally retire, not nearly as ambitious as your current undertaking but it could be interesting. We'll see. No wait, that's what we sometimes tell our kids when we already know that it ain't gonna happen...

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page." Does it mean Bun/butt f****** Egypt, a crass way of saying in the middle of no where? A new acronym to me. I thought it was the loneliness caused by the isolation that caused people to find the holy spirit for company. That invariably leads to a very dangerous addled brained condition.

I apologize for causing you to waste your time pondering my identity. That was not my intention in withholding it. Anything you saw as a clue was not intended to keep you guessing. I am not sitting here wondering what snippet of information/disinformation can I drop in my daily comment to drive him nuts.

I comment so frequently to let you know that you have a friend reading, appreciating and of late to provide some company. As you may recall, I did try to amuse you but failed. Occasionally, I did make a suggestion for improving a posting.

This brings me to inquire why you never asked why do I choose to be anonymous? So now I will answer it and see what you think. I have found that most all people judge the merits of a comment by what they know of the author. It is amazing what crap people will accept if it comes out of the mouth of an authority they respect. It must be true-he has a Phd. from Harvard. Its the way to go-he's a man of God. The converse is also true. The wisest comments will be dismissed if they came from a janitor. It is my hope that any critical/constructive would be judged on their merits and not by who I am. Everyone who reads it knows my name and, indeed, exactly where I am almost all the time. The way I see it, if someone is going to comment practically EVERY DAY, the least they can do is let me know who they are.
